20 crimes reported on Cowley Road in one month

A huge number of crimes took place on Cowley Road in just one month, police data has revealed.

Thames Valley Police data, which is freely released on police.data.uk, shows that in the month of June there were 20 incidents on the East Oxford road.

The figures reveal there were eight crimes labelled as ‘violence or sexual offences’ – the highest crime type during that month.

This was followed by ‘public order’, of which there were three crimes reported to police.

There were two incidents each of ‘anti-social behaviour’, ‘bicycle theft’ and ‘criminal damage and arson’.

‘Burglary’, ‘drugs’ and ‘other crime’ had one incident each.
