Autumn is coming and that means hot chocolate season is on the horizon too, and we’ve got just the thing for the occasion – seriously all you chocoholics out there won’t want to miss this. We’ve teamed up with Knoops, the renowned chocolate drinks brand founded by Jens Knoops, for an exclusive hot chocolate tasting workshop to celebrate the arrival of autumn and the launch of seasonal goodies, including toffee apple marshmallows and pumpkin spice hot chocolate (and this is proper pumpkin spice, made using natural ingredients and not those artificial syrups you find elsewhere).
Knoops takes the chocolate drinks game very seriously. They have over 20 different chocolates varying in cocoa percentage and origin, ranging from 28% White to 100% Extra Dark; five different dairy-free and plant-based milks; and 21 flavour add-ons, like sea salt, orange zest, chilli and cinnamon, to create drinks with. And thanks to their Knoopology personalisation process, where you choose the chocolate percentage, the milk, the add-ons and whether you want a hot chocolate, an iced chocolate or milkshake, everyone gets the best chocolate drink possible.
You can dive into the world of Knoops for yourself at this hot chocolate tasting event exclusively for LOTI members. Taking place at the Knoops Chelsea store, the evening begins with Cacao Bellinis and baked sweet treats (Knoops famous brownies included) before Jens talks you through the history of the brand. Then it’s tasting time; Jens will also share the stories of some of the chocolate producers and take you through the Knoopology process, explaining the complexities of the flavours you’ll be trying. The event will finish with a Q&A and time for Jens to sign books, and you’ll get a Knoops for the road and a goody bag stuffed with a Knoops recipe book, hot chocolate bowl, a selection of chocolate flakes, and a tube of marshmallows, to take home too.
