A new community spot has opened, and the organisers are keen to let people know that anyone is welcome to visit.
Thame Shed – a place where people can go to socialise and make things – has just opened.
The shed was first proposed in 2016, however due funding challenges and difficulty finding a suitable venue, the location has only just opened.
The Men’s Sheds movement has become popular across the country, their website stating: “The sheds are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create.

“The activities are often similar to those of garden sheds, but for groups of men to enjoy together.
“They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun.”
Organisers of the Thame shed however, want to let people know that the venue is not only open to men, women are welcome too.
