A restaurant has been told improvement is necessary by food hygiene inspectors.

The Nightingale in Bicester- which describes itself on its website as a "proper pub" – has been hit with a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Located in Nightingale Place, the business was assessed on Wednesday, January 11 by the Food Standards Agency – which is now listed on the government department's website.

The Nightingale serves a selection of real ales and craft beers, including from its brewery called Brewpoint in Bedford.
