Bottled water stations: Where to find them in Oxford

Oct 5, 2022

290 properties are suffering water supply issues after the burst water pipe on Oxford ring road yesterday.

The burst water pipe, near Heyford Hill roundabout, caused severe flooding, road closures and affected families in the area by killing the water supply to their homes.

While Thames Water continue their repairs, it will be running two bottled water stations where customers can pick up the supplies they need.

The stations are at Tesco in Ambassador Avenue, Oxford OX4 6XJ, and Asda in London Road, Wheatley, Oxford OX33 1YZ.

A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We’re working to boost local water supplies.

“We’re sorry to customers experiencing low pressure or no water this morning as a result of the problems the burst pipe has caused.

“Our engineers have been working through the night to repair the pipe, but yesterday’s burst is affecting the flow of water into the area.”
