Driver arrested in Bicester after positive drugs test

A driver was arrested this morning after police stopped their vehicle and administered a drugs test.

A vehicle was stopped in Bicester this morning due to a defective number plate.

The driver provided a positive drugs wipe for cannabis and was arrested on the spot, and a blood sample was taken at the police station and sent for analysis.

Earlier this month police in Oxfordshire arrested several people for drug and drink driving offences, as well as seizing vehicles from the offending motorists.

Also this month, a suspected drug driver was arrested after her was spotted speeding along St Clements, in Oxford.

The 20-year-old man was from London – the vehicle and its occupants were searched but nothing was found so they were sent on their way.
