GP referrals in Oxfordshire: share your thoughts with Healthwatch

Byoxfordnewspaper

PEOPLE in Oxfordshire are being asked about their experience of getting a referral from a GP to another NHS service, as part of a survey run by a watchdog.

Healthwatch England, the independent health and social care watchdog, said that GPs are the first point of call for many health issues and the gateway to specialist support, but that with many surgeries stretched thin, it is important NHS decision-makers understand if some people cannot get the right help.

They want to hear people’s experiences of trying to get specialist NHS support in Oxfordshire, including physiotherapy, talking therapies, hospital scans and consultations.

The feedback will help the NHS improve how people access the care they need.
