The appetite of Memory Lane readers for more pictures of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations never dwindles.
We have already published four pages in the past year and still we hear the cry: “Let’s have more!”
There was a double jubilee celebration at Speedwell Infants’ School at Littlemore, near Oxford, in 1977.

In the week that the Queen ascended the throne, Rosalie Prior cooked her first school meal there – and that was reason enough for the present staff and pupils to have her as guest of honour at their jubilee party.
Mrs Prior, of Herschel Crescent, Littlemore, seen in Picture 1 about to cut the jubilee cake, had become cook supervisor at Speedwell – by then a first school for pupils aged five to nine – and was responsible for preparing 240 meals a day.
She received flowers from the young children and a silver-plated cake stand from the staff and managers.
Picture 2 shows Ken Sparrowhawk, left, and John Chandlers, two of the competitors in a pram race which was one of the highlights at Witney’s jubilee celebrations.
Thousands of people turned out to enjoy a procession of floats with Oxford Caledonian Pipe Band and Witney Boys’ Brigade band providing the music.
The Jubilee Queen, 19-year-old Rosamund Bunch, accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, 16-year-old Janice Long, rode in an open landau drawn by two white horses.

By the time our photographer arrived at the street party in The Broadway, Kidlington, in Picture 3, all the food and drink had gone.
The 280 youngsters had scoffed the lot!
There were plenty of happy faces, too, at the street party in Bulan Road, Headington, Oxford, in Picture 4.
The Lord Mayor, Dora Carr, is seen with Andrew Locke, three, in a game of musical chairs.
Maypole dancing by Girl Guides in Picture 5 added a touch of pageantry to the celebrations in Wantage Market Square.
While in Picture 6, children give a cheery wave at their street party in Canning Crescent at New Hinksey in Oxford.
