It was a fabulous summer for West Oxfordshire music festivals

Music festivals were back in style this summer and West Oxfordshire played host to some of the biggest in the county, including the Big Feastival, Cornbury, and Wilderness.

On a smaller scale, Riverside Festival in Charlbury made a welcome return.

Cornbury Festival bowed out in style at Great Tew Park in July.

Then Wilderness Festival followed in August at Cornbury Park, Charlbury.

The line-up was headlined by Years & Years, Jungle and Underworld.

But you could have the time of your life without going anywhere near its main stage, instead soothing your soul in a lakeside spa, swimming or boating, joining exquisite banquets by world-class chefs, enjoying drama, dance, top-flight comedy, talks, and performances by world-famous names, and dancing the night away to big-name DJs in a gorgeous secret valley in the woods.

Riverside Festival also took place in Charlbury at the beginning of the month but it's on a much smaller scale than Wilderness, and plays host to lots of local bands.

Big Feastival happened at Alex James' Kingham farm at the end of August.

The event was Oxfordshire’s last major festival of the summer and saw revellers – including some famous faces – treated to three days of pop, rock and dance from chart stars and up-and-coming new artists, and demonstrations by leading culinary experts.
