A Lower Heyford man was found dead in woodland, Oxford Coroner’s Court heard.
Cain Donald’s death was verified by a police constable shortly after 8pm on July 29 after his body was discovered in woodland near Northbrook, a village between Kirtlington and Lower Heyford.
Opening the inquest on Thursday, senior coroner Darren Salter said that following a post-mortem, the cause of the 26-year-old’s death had been given as hanging.
A full inquest will take place in January next year.
Typically held in cases of non-natural deaths, the purpose of an inquest is to establish the identity of the person who has died and the circumstances of their death.
