A man accused of breaching a court order by owning children’s clothing failed to appear before a judge.

Craig Grealy, 42, of St Helen’s Mews, Abingdon, is accused of breaching a sexual harm prevention order imposed at Oxford Crown Court in May 2016 by ‘having children’s clothing in his property’.

Among its various provisions, the order bans him from having youngsters’ garments.

He was due before the crown court in St Aldates on Thursday (February 16) for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

His barrister, Gordana Austin, was unable to tell Judge Ian Pringle KC why Grealy had not attended. She said the solicitors who instructed her had written to the defendant to remind him of the date.

Judge Pringle issued a warrant ‘backed for bail’, meaning that if he attends an adjourned plea hearing on Friday, February 24, he will not be arrested.
