Mexican–Japanese fusion spot Los Mochis has clearly been a hit since it opened in Notting Hill last year as it’s now opening a second site across town in the City. Founder Markus Thesleff will be taking up residence in a 14,000 sq ft space on the rooftop of 100 Liverpool Street, and he’s said “we’re excited to be able to translate this success at Broadgate, pairing our Mexican spirit and Japanese elegance with one of London’s prime rooftop settings.”
Over in Notting Hill, the Los Mochis menu has tacos at its heart, with multiple takes on the dish, including miso cod, trailer park chicken, carne asada, bang bang cauliflower, and gringo lobster versions, alongside a range of guacamoles, tiraditos, ceviches, tostadas, sashimi and maki rolls. We’d expect a fair amount of those dishes to make the move over to the new restaurant, which will also be home to a tequileria with one of the largest selections of rare tequilas and mezcals in Europe.
This isn’t slated to open until next autumn so that’s all the info we’ve got right now, but we’ll be keeping an eye on this one so watch this space….
