NOTTING HILL COFFEE HOUSE KURO IS EXPANDING WITH AN EATERY AND BAKERY

Notting Hill’s Kuro may have only opened last year but it’s already one of the best coffee shops in town, and now the brand is getting bigger with Kuro Eatery and Kuro Bakery coming in October. The restaurant will be a 30-cover, all-day restaurant with the same minimalist vibe as the coffee shop, and headed up by Andriannos Poulis (ex-Rovi, Cornerstone and Mazi). The menu will be inspired by his Greek heritage and his love of fish, with dishes set to include:

  • Crispy fried eggs with sumac chilli oil & labneh
  • Rice congee with mayak eggs
  • Cod ham with extra virgin olive oil
  • Oysters with tomato ferment & oregano
  • Tomatoes with sujuk oil, onions, burrata & pangrattato
  • Spaghettoni with clams & bottarga
  • Pork with chilli pork fat & aged soy sauce
  • Celeriac with olive XO & tarragon

Kuro Bakery will be taking over the space where Kuro Kiosk currently lives, with baker Nicholas Ruty (ex-The Savoy) heading up the operation, turning out freshly baked sourdough, seasonal croissants and danishes, and Japanese milk bread shokupan. Kuro Coffee will also be flipping into an aperitif and wine bar in the evenings, so you can pop in for a pre-dinner drink, and just in case that wasn’t enough, the team will be redeveloping the rooftops of all the sites next year to incorporate beehives and veg beds to help create produce for the restaurant and bakery.
