An outdoor adventure game, exclusively created for Oxford, has launched in the city.

Escape Hunt, a escape room games company which has a branch at the Westgate Centre, has created Oxford: The Looking Glass Chronicles.

Inspired Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, the game will see players follow a trial around the city and solve puzzles to help find missing Wonderland characters and fix a magic mirror.

The game’s synopsis reads: This very morning, The Queen of Hearts made the mistake of peering into her magic mirror before it was quite awake. The poor thing was so startled that it shattered into pieces!

To make matters worse, the scattered pieces have run away across the streets of Oxford, bringing Wonderland characters with them. They are lost, confused, and making the most maddening mess.

The furious Queen has commanded her loyal White Rabbit to retrieve all the missing pieces and bring everyone home – but he can’t do it alone.

To book The Looking Glass Chronicles or any other escape room, outdoor adventure or virtual reality game, head to escapehunt.com/uk/oxford/games/.

The Looking Glass Chronicles is playable at Escape Hunt Oxford and is suitable for those aged 8+ for teams between 2 – 4 players. Prices start from £15 per person.
