Oxford motorcycle crash victim still in hospital days after incident

A teenager remains in hospital after a serious motorcycle crash.

The teenager, a 17-year-old girl, was involved in a collision at about 5pm on Thursday (August 4), between a red Audi A3 and a green Kawasaki motorcycle Banbury Road, at the junction of Wentworth Road.

The teen, who was the rider of the motorcycle, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.

The driver of the Audi has since been released under investigation.

Following the incident, Thames Valley Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.

At the time, investigating officer, PC David Dorrian, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to please come forward.

“Also, we’d urge anyone who has dash-cam footage or CCTV footage from the local area around the time of the incident to please check the footage in case it may have captured something that could assist the investigation.
