WILL Goodwin has been rated as 50/50 for Oxford United’s Easter Monday clash at home with Fleetwood Town.

The striker was taken off at half-time in United’s 2-0 win at Port Vale, the side’s last game before the international break.

Goodwin was substituted in that match after picking up a knock on the side of his leg, on what was his first U’s start since signing for the club in January.

The knock ruled him out of United’s Good Friday draw at Shrewsbury Town, while after arriving from Cheltenham Town, the 21-year-old had to be patient before being involved in the squad, as he recovered from a quad injury.

U’s head coach Des Buckingham said: “Will took a knock at Port Vale and the worry at half-time was that he’d done the same injury that he’d been rehabbing. That’s not the case.

“We’ve scanned him and he’s 50/50 for Monday. It’s nothing more than that and we fully expect him to either be available for Monday or the following weekend.”
