LIAM Gilbert is looking to build on Oxford United Women’s opening day win with victories in a couple of tricky fixtures.
The U’s began the season with a 2-0 triumph at home to Bridgwater United last weekend.
Debutant Naomi Cole opened the scoring with a volley from the edge of the box, before Riva Casley flicked in a header just after half-time.
United now travel to Plymouth Argyle on Sunday, before hosting London Bees on Tuesday evening.

Gilbert said: “We spoke to the girls and we’d rather have it as one of the early trips.
“We stay away when we go to Plymouth so it’ll allow them to spend more time with each other.
“It’s the fact it’s Sunday and then we’re back for a Tuesday night game, which isn’t ideal – but we’ll deal with it and hopefully get two wins on the board.”
Argyle finished 10th in last season’s Southern Premier Division, just one place above the relegation zone, and lost 3-1 at newly promoted Cheltenham Town in their opening game.
Gilbert said: “We can’t be complacent. Plymouth will pose different challenges to what Bridgwater did and we need to make sure we are aware of that, and we are proactive in dealing with those situations rather than be reactive.”
