JODI Jones made his international debut as Malta fell to defeat in the UEFA Nations League.
The winger is one of three Oxford United players away on international duty, with the trio experiencing mixed emotions.
Jones was replaced at half-time after teammate Jean Borg was shown a red card after conceding a penalty, which led to Estonia taking the lead in first half stoppage time.
Malta pulled a goal back from the penalty spot six minutes into the second half, however Estonia grabbed a winner in the 86th minute.

Ciaron Brown was an unused substitute as Northern Ireland completed a late comeback against Kosovo.
After falling behind shortly before the hour mark, it was a former U’s man who proved instrumental in the turnaround.
Gavin Whyte was brought on in the 76th minute, and equalised six minutes later.
The winger then turned provider as he crossed for Josh Magennis to head in a winner two minutes into injury time.
James Golding was again not involved for Republic of Ireland Under-19s, as they beat Wales 2-0 in an Under-19 European Championships qualifier.
The defender joined up with the young Boys in Green – even though he was not named in the squad.
