10 Downing Street has been adorned with sunflowers and the colors of the Ukrainian flag to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day. The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office says the United Kingdom will “continue to stand with our Ukrainian friends – now and in the future”.
To the people of Ukraine on your Independence Day, I want you to know this: For however long it takes, the United Kingdom will stand with you.
