OXFORD United Women began 2025 by succumbing to a third successive defeat in the Southern Premier Division.
The U’s were leapfrogged by AFC Wimbledon after suffering a 1-0 loss at home to the London side.
The visitors started the game on the front foot, and United needed Beth Howard to make a great diving save after quarter of an hour.
The U’s then came close to taking the lead when a corner was cleared to Vita Budaieva, who arrowed a shot just wide.

Five minutes before the break, the away side took the lead when a looping Ashlee Hincks effort was deemed to have crossed the line, despite the efforts of Nic Gibson to clear the ball away.
The visitors restricted United in the second period, and threatened on the break, with Emily Donovan forcing Howard into a flying save.
With five minutes to go, Taome Oliver saw a shot hit the crossbar, in what was the closest the U’s came to grabbing an equaliser.
