GARY Rowett has addressed the futures of wide duo Malcolm Ebiowei and Kyle Edwards, who both face uncertainty at Oxford United.
Crystal Palace loanee Ebiowei has made just six appearances for the U’s since joining at the beginning of August, and hasn’t been included in the matchday squad for the last eight games.
Edwards meanwhile sees a short-term contract come to an end after United’s trip to Millwall on New Year’s Day.
Palace are likely to want to find a new loan club for Ebiowei, while the U’s may also be keen to free up a loan space, while Edwards has been limited to just seven appearances so far this season due to injuries.

United head coach Rowett said: “When you come into the group, perhaps people are in situations that they’re in because of what’s happened previously, whether that’s contractually or not being in the squad.
“Sometimes for different reasons when you come in, you have to continue that a little bit until you have a different reason or a little bit more of a chance to see them.
“You have to make those decisions quickly, and there’s January around the corner as well.
“I’ll assess the whole group and there might well be players that have started the first two games, but in six weeks’ time, they’re not in the squad because it’s their choice to stay in the team and do the right things.
“I’ve certainly been around it long enough to know that when you get an opportunity to strengthen, you need to strengthen.
“Sometimes that means the odd player might want to move on and play regular football, and I’ll have those conversations.”
