CIARON Brown is set to come up against one of the Premier League’s top strikers after being included in the Northern Ireland squad.
The Oxford United defender is named in the squad for friendlies at home to Switzerland (March 21) and away to Sweden (March 25).
Sweden boast two of European football’s best strikers, with Alexander Isak (Newcastle United) and Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting Lisbon) partnered together for their last international game back in November.
Isak has 22 goals in 32 games in all competitions for the Magpies this season, while Gyokeres has a whopping 36 goals across 34 matches for Sporting.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with a move for Isak, while Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is said to be keen on bringing former Coventry City striker Gyokeres to Old Trafford.
In addition to Brown, U’s duo Marselino Ferdinan and Ole Romeny were previously named in Patrick Kluivert’s Indonesia squad for World Cup qualifiers against Australia and Bahrain. Romeny is poised to win his first cap for Indonesia having been called up for the first time.
