A new eatery is moving into a popular sports ground with the hopes of developing a “community hub”.

Oxford Farm Kitchen will be taking over the top floor of Whiteland Farm Sports Ground as part of the owners’ move to offer high quality food to the people of Bicester.

The eatery, founded and run by Corin Earland and his wife, will expand into the sports centre on September 27.

Mr Earland said: “I had just taken a new job in London as a food and beverage director, but unfortunately lockdown kicked in and I wasn’t furloughed.

“I found myself sat at home. So eventually me and my wife started Home Feast Home.

“We would deliver weekly bespoke meals out of our kitchen in Weston on the Green.

“This evolved as everything started to reopen, and eventually we set up The Oxford Farm Kitchen – a bespoke wholesale food supplier.

“We make food for pubs and bars and restaurants.”

As part of its mission to make the centre more aesthetically pleasing, Mr Earland has invited local artists to showcase their artwork on the walls.

Mr Earland added: “It’s a very plain base. But this sports facility is a community hub, and part of our thinking behind it is to spice the place up with some local artwork.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity of working in partnership with the council in delivering a fantastic community space and delivering high quality food, drink and events to the people of Bicester and the surrounding areas.”
