Traffic cops believe a cyclist knocked down by a Ford Fiesta in Banbury last night may have suffered minor injuries.

The collision was said to have happened on Warwick Road at around 10pm on Friday, September 16.

The cyclist, who was riding an electric bike, did not remain at the scene.

PC Neil Bowker of Thames Valley Police’s roads policing unit said: “We are continuing to investigate this report of a minor injury road traffic collision, but as yet, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to locate the victim.

“I am appealing for this person to please make contact with us as soon as possible.

“I’d also ask any motorists who were in the local area around the time of the collision to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist the investigation.”

Anyone with information was asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
