Bicester Village will be closed on day of Queen’s funeral

A hugely popular designer outlet shopping centre in the county will be closed on Monday as a mark of respect for the Queen’s funeral.

A spokesperson for Bicester Village said: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“As a mark of respect, we will be closing the village on the day of the state funeral, Monday, September 19.”

The nation entered a period of national mourning on Thursday, September 8, when it was announced that the Queen had died.

Those wishing to pay their respects to the Queen’s coffin in London’s Westminster Hall will be able to pass by 24 hours a day from 5pm on Wednesday, September 14 until 6.30am on the day of the funeral.
