Police have made an arrest in connection to a spate of bicycle thefts in a town centre in the county.
The Banbury Neighbourhood Police Team said they are aware of a number of bicycle thefts that have taken place in and around Banbury Town Centre over the summer months.
A 35-year-old male of no fixed abode was arrested this morning for a number of these offences.

In December 2021 this paper conducted an analysis of more than three million crime reports across the two nations, which revealed Oxford city centre as having the most bike theft reports.
Bike theft hotspots were identified by comparing crime report figures in “LSOA areas” – or neighbourhoods – between March and August 2021.
The analysis put central Oxford in the number one spot with 214 reports of bike theft.
