A SCHOOL in Oxford partially closed for a second day due to staff sickness.

The Orion Academy in Knights Road, in Blackbird Leys, Oxford, had to close one of its classes again today due to staff sickness.

Oxfordshire County Council was notified, and parents have been contacted directly to advise them of the closure.

Work will be set to be completed at home.

Schools have contact arrangements for when they need to close the school at short notice. Contacts may include bespoke parent mailing systems, text, social media, and the school website.

The Orion Academy is a special academy for students aged 11 to 18, with social, emotional, and mental health needs, accepting pupils from all over the county.
