Property off Cowley Road closed by police

Police have closed a property in East Oxford which is known for having “strange people” coming and going.

The East Oxford Neighbourhood Team have obtained a closure order for a property on East Avenue, near to the O2 Academy on Cowley Road.

The order will prevent anyone other than designated people from entering the address and will expire on December 5, 2022.

One nearby homeowner said: “Well done to the East Oxford Neighbourhood Team. There are always strange people in and out of that house.

“My daughter used to hate walking past there on her way home from school.”

East Avenue is within the St Clements ward.
