There will be no Chiltern or CrossCountry rail services tomorrow and a very limited GWR service.

Rail passengers are being urged only to travel if necessary on Saturday because of a strike by workers in the long-running dispute over pay, jobs and conditions.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT), Aslef, Unite and the Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association (TSSA) will stage a co-ordinated walkout, causing huge disruption to services.

Chiltern Railway faces industrial action tomorrow and further strikes on October 5 and 8.

Some early morning services on Sunday October 2 will also be impacted with a later start to service from approximately 9am-10am, due to displacement of trains.

There are no Cross Country services tomorrow or October 5.

Some early morning services on Sunday October 2 will be affected with a later start to services from approximately 9am.

On GWR an extremely limited service will operate.

Trains will only operate on routes, between Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington, Reading and Didcot and Reading and Basingstoke.

Services will start at 7.30am and all journeys must be completed before 6.30pm. These services are expected to be extremely busy.

There no other train services on the GWR network.

GWR advises passengers to avoid travelling and seek alternative ways to make their journey.

If intending to travel on these routes, only do so if absolutely necessary.
