Nude photos scammer Lee Alexander will seek to persuade the Court of Appeal this morning that he should be allowed to challenge his jail sentence.
The 22-year-old was sentenced to two years and nine months’ imprisonment by an Oxford judge in May.
He had admitted tricking an 18-year-old woman into sending him nude photographs, posing as a model agency on social media site Snapchat to elicit the explicit images.
Within days of her sending the images, he messaged her from another account under a different name – claiming to have hacked the model agency’s Snapchat.
Jailing him for fraud, Judge Ian Pringle KC said that it was ‘impossible to think of a greater humiliation for a young girl to have to go through’.
Thame man Alexander’s case is due to be considered at the Court of Appeal this morning. He is understood to be appealing the jail sentence.
