Eight schools closed in Oxford today due to ongoing water supply issues

Eight schools were closed today due to the ongoing water supply issues following a burst water main at Heyford Hill roundabout.

Great Milton Church of England Primary School, Horspath Church of England Primary School, John Watson School, Little Milton Church of England Primary School, Stadhampton Primary School, Wheatley Church of England Primary School, Wheatley Nursery School and Wheatley Park School were all closed today due to ongoing water supply issues.

The burst pipe on the Oxford Ring Road continues to result in no water or low pressure to households and businesses in 10 postcodes: OX1, OX2, OX3, OX4, OX9, OX10, OX14, OX33, OX44 and HP18.

The burst, which occurred on Tuesday, caused severe flooding, multiple road, cycle and footpath closures and water supply issues.
