Police arrest driver after positive drugs test in Wallingford

An untaxed vehicle was passed by police and the driver was arrested for a positive drugs test.

Police out on patrol in the Wallingford area today (Wednesday September 7) pulled over an untaxed vehicle to the side of the road.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said the driver was aware that the vehicle had no tax but took the risk anyway.

The driver was arrested for a positive trace of cocaine on the drugs wipe.

This comes after police in Oxford and Bicester – three days ago – pulled over at least four drivers throughout the evening and early hours and subsequently arrested them for drug and drink driving.

The offending motorists’ vehicles were also seized.
